Active Start provides the youngest players in soccer with the opportunity to develop their physical literacy skills such as jumping, kicking, skipping, running, falling and changing direction during one session per week. U3 - U5 teams and groups will spend half the session working with an Active Start Facilitator participating in fun games and activities designed to improve their physical literacy skills, and introducing individual time and fun with the ball, and half the session working with a volunteer coach in a 3v3 game setting. Volunteer coaches will help to provide the players with a fun and safe environment and help with organization of players to ensure the game is moving with limited stoppages or helping with restarts.

Generally, sessions will not be cancelled by the Ajax Soccer Club unless the field is closed by the City or Police, The City of Pickering or The Town of Ajax due to inclement weather.
Field closures will be posted on our website on the home page. Decisions will be made with the Town of Ajax or The City of Pickering, and approximately 2-3 hours prior to an event. You will also receive an email from the club indicating that soccer is cancelled, but it is your responsibility to check the website & email.
Rain alone does NOT constitute bad weather. Games could be cancelled due to lightning, field conditions – including flooding, extreme heat or cold.
In the event of any cancellation(s) beyond the club's control, we will do our best to reschedule only ONE missed day. As these issues are beyond the club's control, there will be no refunds issued for missed days.
